A short biographyFrom 1987 to 2009, I worked at IDEO, a global design and innovation firm. During the last dozen years there, my role involved writing, editing, speaking, and teaching about the company’s history, culture, and processes. I worked with everyone from the founder to the design staff, as well as clients, journalists, and academics. My work included workshops, websites, presentations, tours, talks, case studies, knowledge sharing tools, blogs, wikis, proposals, and a variety of other communication projects and events. Since then, I’ve focused on leading workshops and contributing to writing projects for IDEO and many other clients. I live in El Cerrito, California, with my wife Susan in a house that looks over the San Francisco Bay. For fun, I play bass, read voraciously, and decipher texts from my sons. Work historyThis page has an absurdly long and detailed account of my career. |
